on simultaneously that summer. In spite of his very busy
schedule, he designed and constructed a very nice horizontal
retractable ceiling cover for my pool. It is still working
very satisfactorily."

"We brought our nautical baggage from
Southern California and San Francisco to Carson Valley in
1991. We met the Jarrett's and bought the lot, almost next
door to them on the Dangberg Reservoir. We moved to Carson
City in April of 94 and started building with Mike the following
August. The design process was the most fun. Mike and Donna
poured over East coast architecture, Light houses and yacht
clubs we liked and Mike just "aced" the design.
Construction required a lot of wood work and the effect
is one of the most unique homes in the Valley and definitely
the only Light house."

When I met Mike, I was shopping for a contractor
who could work closely with my architect. He told me that
he really preferred building his own designs, and after
seeing some of his projects, I hired him. While working
on the plans, Mike was very conscientious. Every aspect
of the home, from the location and placement on the lot,
to every drawer and cabinet, was given full consideration.
He even made me a model to help me visualize the construction
prior to building. Being a single woman while endeavoring
to complete this overwhelming project, I was in constant
need of advice. Mike was always willing to advise me and
help make the many decisions that were required. The long
project of building my dream home was generally a good experience,
and the house turned out just as beautiful as expected.
